Another and decisive disadvantage of this method, which unfortunately has by now become „modern“, is the fact that work with the help of a machine can never reach or even substitute the precision of well performed work by hand – especially not as far as the balancing of the jaw for the optimal angling and exposition of the mandibular joint is concerned. The advantages the use of a machine has actually just help the treating person him-/herself, since in fact it saves them a considerable amount of effort.

As I am no friend of this treatment by machine at all, I have always used the manual method exclusively. Due to this and to my emphatic handling of the horse during the treatment, for which I am well-known among my international clients, a sedation is superfluous in virtually all cases.
